Abortion was legal throughout the time that I practiced. I cannot imagine practicing now that Roe v Wade has been reversed. I believe abortion should be legal and rare. There is no good solution to unwanted pregnancy apart from prevention. While some women have abortions seemingly without difficulty, my practice taught me that most women suffer guilt and grief. Adoption has its own difficulties for both mother and child. Trying to raise a child without financial and personal resources is perhaps the most difficult of all. I have become an advocate for responsible sexuality.
Author
Saving Jane Doe is my first novel. Morgan James Publishing Company published and released it in May 2016. Saving Jane Doe is a story of forgiveness and redemption in the context of a woman who has an illegal abortion before the Roe v Wade decision with multiple consequences for herself and her family. It seeks to show the complexity of the issue in a way that will be heard by people who are on both extremes of the abortion issue.
